This book is by Craig Migliaccio. It is a sprial bound book and has great reviews! This book provides step by step instructions for how to properly charge refrigerant into various air-conditioning and refrigeration systems. The book explains different refrigerants, components and troubleshooting methods. This is a great book to learn more about the HVAC Technician career field. There is also a great workbook that goes along with this book that will help you test yourself as you read through the chapters!
Audel HVAC Fundamentals, Vol. 1 Heating systems, Furnaces and Boilers 4th ed.
This book is by James E.Brumbaugh. This book foucuses on different heating systems HVAC Techs frequently encounter. The book provides information on installation, troubleshooting and maintence of heating systems.
Ugly's electrical References
This book is by Charles R. Miller. It's a great book to have on the job site to help with electrical troubleshooting and installation of HVAC equipment, motors and electrical controls. The Ugly's electrical motors and controls is another great book to have to help troubleshoot and install various electric motors. Both books are great tools to have for HVAC Tech's of any skill level!

Manifold gauges are a standard tool for all HVAC Technicians. These gauges are used to add and remove refrigerant from air-conditioning and refrigeration systems. The Yellow Jacket 42004 Series 41 manifold gauges is an excellent set of gauges for an HVAC Tech just getting started. These gauges can be used on R22, R404a and R410a.
